Responsible for the coordination of on-site waste movements, labeling, storage and shipments of hazardous, biological, and universal wastes. Assists Tulane departments with managing applicable waste streams ensuring compliance with internal Tulane University standards and procedures as well as all applicable Federal, State, and local regulatory requirements to include but not limited to:

Assists Tulane departments with managing applicable waste streams ensuring compliance with internal Tulane University standards and procedures as well as all applicable Federal, State, and local regulatory requirements to include but not limited to:
- Ensure all regulated waste materials are characterized, stored, labeled in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Coordinate disposal and transportation to Tulane University approved facilities by Tulane University approved vendors.
- Waste/wastewater characterization and sampling and coordination with off-site laboratory for analysis.
- Transports waste from campus areas to waste storage area.
- Performs waste area inspections and file documentation as required. This includes permanent storage locations and satellite accumulation areas.
- Maintains waste disposal records and supports waste generation management in satellite accumulation areas.
- Responsible for Waste Storage Area building, infrastructure, and scheduling maintenance activities as required.
- Supports spill clean-up activities and subsequent incident reporting and investigations to OEHS
- Maintains inventory of spill response equipment, waste containers and sampling supplies used by OEHS.
- Meets and maintains RCRA and DOT Training requirements.
- Supports other OEHS personnel as needed.
