Summary
Partners closely with the Vice President to provide strategic leadership for all financial and business operations. Responsible for integrated financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across operating and capital portfolios.
Leads the division’s finance and business operations team, overseeing accounting, budgeting, procurement, contracts, accounts payable, payroll and timekeeping, job cost accounting, inventory, and business analytics in a 24/7 environment. Assists with projecting, allocating and adjusting staffing levels and organizational structure to meet changing conditions. Assists in development of policies and procedures that impact all areas of operations for Facilities and Campus Development or that may impact the University Community as customers of Facilities and Campus Development. Makes presentations to university departments and other outside constituents on related topics. Provides data-driven decision support to the Vice President and senior leadership, ensures effective internal controls and compliance, and represents Facilities and Campus Development with campus partners and external vendors.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost-control principles.
- Proficient computer skills and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software applications.
- Experience with enterprise financial systems and budgeting tools (e.g., Workday, Oracle, PeopleSoft, or similar).
- Experience with facilities management or work-order systems (e.g., TMA or similar) and business-intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Self-reliant, results-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, 24/7 operations environment.
- Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills.
- Superior management skills: ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers.

- Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, business, or closely related field and eight (8) years of professional business management experience, to include three (3) years of progressive, demonstrated management/supervisory experience.
- Master’s Degree in finance, accounting, business, or closely related field
- Experience working in higher education, healthcare, or other complex, capital-intensive organizations.
- Experience working with facilities operations, capital project finance, and/or utilities and energy budgeting.
