The Plant Manager has overall responsibility for overseeing the daily operations of the plant production and manufacturing by ensuring policies and procedures are followed, developing processes to maximize stewardship, safety, quality, and productivity, and managing the operations process by embracing design, planning, control, performance improvement, and operations strategy.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
The Plant Manager is required to: Share WoodMaster Portable Buildings Vision Value Statement of Excellence, Integrity, Respect, Teamwork and Ownership, as well as practice WoodMaster Portable Buildings Business Ethics and Conduct Policy of using good judgment based on high ethical principles.
The essential functions for this position include but are not strictly limited to:
- Leads and manages all aspects of manufacturing plant operations, ensuring the timely production of high-quality products.
- Trains, leads and develops the Assistant Plant Manager and Plant Maintenance
- Oversees the training, development, mentoring, and coaching of plant team members
- Collaborates with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Develops strong relationships with suppliers to optimize procurement processes and costs.
- Implements and optimizes standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to align manufacturing operations with overall business objectives.
- Develops and oversees production plans and schedules to meet customer demand and inventory targets.
- Sets clear expectations for performance, provides regular feedback, and implements professional development opportunities.
- Monitors and analyzes production metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
- Implements and maintains robust quality control processes to ensure the highest standards of product quality.
- Leads initiatives to continuously improve product quality and consistency.
- Recruits, trains, and leads a high-performing manufacturing team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensures compliance with relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
- Utilizes data and analytics to make informed decisions and drive efficiency in manufacturing processes.
- Develops and manages the manufacturing plant budget, including operational expenses, labor costs, and capital expenditures.
- Implements cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high product quality and operational excellence.
- In order to perform the above functions, the Plant Manager must be present in the Plant, as scheduled, (including some weekends) and work all required hours.
OTHER DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES: (secondary/non-central)
- Implements inventory control measures to minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
- Performing all other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the WoodMaster Portable Buildings management

Job Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality assurance.
- Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with manufacturing technologies and industry best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to solve problems using sound logic and good business judgment
- Ability to use arithmetic, mathematical, accounting and financial tools as they apply to WoodMaster Portable Buildings business
- Ability to read, write and understand instructions given orally, in writing and/or in diagram form
- Ability to prepare written correspondence and reports that create a professional image for WoodMaster Portable Buildings
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels, including customers, business partners, suppliers, co-workers, managers, and the general public
Experience
- 8 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
- EDUCATION
- High school diploma OR equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in operations management, or a related field preferred.

Salary : $80,000 - $120,000
