Job Summary

The Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring guest rooms and designated public areas are clean, orderly, and welcoming at all times. This role directly impacts guest satisfaction by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, comfort, and safety. The Room Attendant works efficiently and collaboratively, follows established cleaning procedures, and promptly communicates maintenance or safety concerns. This position is essential to creating a positive guest experience that encourages repeat visits and favorable reviews. Competitive pay and full benefits package.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain guest rooms according to company standards, including:
    • Making beds
    • Dusting and wiping surfaces
    • Vacuuming and mopping floors
    • Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms
  • Replenish room amenities, including toiletries, towels, linens, and minibar items as needed
  • Inspect rooms for cleanliness, functionality, and maintenance issues
  • Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and lost-and-found items promptly to the appropriate department
  • Use and store cleaning equipment and supplies safely and properly
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
  • Coordinate with housekeeping supervisors and front desk staff to prioritize room readiness and accommodate guest requests
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with guests and coworkers

Minimum Qualifications

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role within the hospitality or accommodation industry
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in the primary workplace language
  • Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting, bending, pushing carts, and standing for extended periods
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, tools, and safe handling procedures
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification or formal training in hospitality or housekeeping management
  • Experience using computerized housekeeping or property management systems
  • Additional language skills to assist a diverse guest population
  • Training in occupational health, safety, or sanitation standards
  • Prior customer service experience demonstrating a guest-focused approach
