Overview:
Hand weld stainless steel items using both mig and tig welding techniques. Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and to read and work from simple sketches, diagrams, and broken parts. Skill in the use and care of the tools and equipment common to the welding trade. 1 year experience or current schooling in a welding trade is mandatory.
Job Duties:
- Read and fabricate parts according to the drawing.
- Operates safety equipment and uses safe work habits while performing his job function.
· Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
- Some knowledge in TIG welding
- Knowledge in MIG welding is a plus
· Ignites torches or starts power supplies and strikes arcs by touching electrodes to metals being welded, completing electrical circuits.
· Willingness to complete a variety of tasks as requested
