- Develop and implement the project's safety program
- Conduct safety inspections and audits
- Investigate accidents and near-misses
- Train employees on safety procedures
- Comply with all applicable safety regulations
- Communicate with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and other stakeholders on safety matters
- Strong understanding of the requirements of EM 385-1-1 and 29 CFR 1926.16
- Strong leadership qualities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
- Have completed the 30-hour OSHA Construction Industry safety class or equivalent
