Electronics Engineer III – PCB Layout

Location: Milpitas, CA or Irvine, CA

Duration: 12-Month Contract (Potential Extension/Conversion)

Pay Rate: $70-78/hour DOE

Join an innovative engineering team developing next-generation high-performance hardware products. We are seeking an experienced PCB Layout Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex design challenges while collaborating with global engineering teams.

What You'll Do

• Design complex rigid and rigid-flex PCB layouts from schematic netlist through manufacturing release.
• Develop high-speed designs involving DDR, PCIe, NAND, and other advanced interfaces.
• Generate manufacturing deliverables including ODB and Gerber files.
• Partner with Mechanical, SI/PI, Thermal, and Manufacturing teams throughout the design process.
• Work directly with fabrication vendors to resolve DFM and manufacturing issues.
• Contribute to best practices, innovative design methodologies, and continuous process improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of PCB Layout experience.
• Strong proficiency with Cadence Allegro PCB Designer.
• Experience with high-speed digital routing, including DDR, PCIe, and NAND interfaces.
• Knowledge of multilayer PCB technologies, microvias, blind/buried vias, and rigid-flex designs.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a global engineering organization.

Preferred

• Experience with System Capture and EDM libraries.
• Background supporting enterprise hardware, storage, networking, or semiconductor products.
