Financial Analyst II
Location: Los Angeles, CA 90013
Pay: $40–44/hour
Schedule: Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote) / 7AM/8AM-4PM-5PM

Job Overview
We are seeking a Financial Analyst II to support a team responsible for financial reporting and analysis within a large-scale infrastructure and integrity program. This role will focus on budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and financial governance, while ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Support financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities for ongoing programs
- Analyze and reconcile accounts, identifying and explaining variances
- Prepare and annotate variance reports for leadership review
- Assist with cost tracking, governance, and internal controls related to expenditures
- Conduct financial research to evaluate accounting impacts of different approaches
- Maintain and manage financial data and records, with a strong emphasis on SharePoint
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cost recovery and reporting needs
- Present financial insights and analysis to management as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent years of experience)
- 2–5 years of relevant financial analysis experience
- Strong understanding of accounting and finance principles
- Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience with SharePoint and data/records management is required
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the utilities or energy industry
- Familiarity with financial management systems and applications
