Commodity Manager II
Location: San Jose, CA (Hybrid – M,W,Thu on-site)
Pay: $40-42 / HR
Duration: 3-month assignment (special project)
Position Overview
Our client, a global leader in data storage solutions and technology, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Commodity Manager II to support the Strategic Sourcing team within Corporate Indirect Procurement. This role will focus on assisting Commodity Managers with day-to-day procurement activities, contract support, and supplier coordination to ensure timely and effective execution of sourcing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Commodity Managers with procurement and sourcing activities across corporate indirect categories
- Assist in contract lifecycle activities including:
- Performing cost analysis
- Drafting Statements of Work (SOWs) and amendments using pre-defined templates
- Reviewing contractual language for accuracy and compliance
- Support Request for Proposal (RFP) processes, including coordination and documentation
- Communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive progress on sourcing initiatives and ad-hoc requests
- Track and follow up on outstanding procurement activities to ensure timely closure
- Maintain organized documentation and ensure accuracy of procurement records
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a procurement or sourcing environment
- Experience working with contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs), and Request for Proposals (RFPs)
