Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Direct Care Worker located in Aliquippa, PA. The Direct Care Worker will be responsible for assisting clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Other responsibilities include monitoring clients' health, providing companionship, maintaining a clean and safe living environment, and supporting clients in achieving greater independence. The role involves direct interaction with clients, family members, and other care professionals to ensure holistic and effective care.
Qualifications
- Experience with personal care, grooming, and hygiene assistance
- Ability to prepare meals, conduct light housekeeping, and manage daily living activities
- Strong interpersonal skills for providing companionship and emotional support
- Ability to monitor clients' health and effectively report changes to supervisors or healthcare professionals
- Strong task management, attention to detail, and ability to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine interest in supporting individuals with diverse care needs
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Completion of a caregiving training program and related certifications is a plus
- Experience in a caregiving or similar role is an advantage
