The Tualatin Hills Athletic Center is seeking enthusiastic and responsible sports instructors for preschool and youth programming. We are seeking community- and safety-oriented individuals who want to share their love of recreation with participants of all ages.
Classes take place indoors and are open to the community at large, including people of all ages, abilities, backgrounds, and interests. The team is seeking instructors prepared to support individual needs and manage small-group dynamics.
Instructors help maintain a safe experience by adjusting activities to match each participant’s skill level and by fostering a positive, encouraging environment.
Position
Instructor II: Must have at least 1 year of experience leading and instructing general classes and be at least 16 years of age.

The Tualatin Hills Athletic Center is seeking instructors for the following:
Knowledge of:
Multiple positions are available and hours vary based on programming needs. Staff are typically scheduled 2 to 29 hours per week between 8:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., with opportunities on Saturdays and Sundays.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis as they are received. Strong candidates will be contacted directly to discuss next steps. This recruitment will be used to fill multiple openings immediately. The posting will remain open until all positions are filled.

SEASONAL: Seasonal employment is temporary and allows employees to work only during certain times of the year, up to 40 hours per week for a maximum duration of six (6) consecutive months. Seasonal employees are eligible to receive benefits such as Holiday Pay, Compassionate Leave, and Inclement Weather Pay (if required to work). Effective February 15, 2026, seasonal employees will also be eligible to accrue Paid Time Off (PTO)!

- Basketball
- Soccer
- Volleyball
- Preschool Level Sports Introduction (3-5 year old's)
Knowledge of:
- Basic principles, practices, and rules related to the assigned area of instruction.
- Basic principles and practices of leadership and group organization.
- Teach and lead groups of various ages and ability levels in the area of assignment.
- Identify and prevent hazards, implement solutions, maintain safe environments.
- Communicate courteously and cooperatively with staff and the public, including handling challenging situations
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, staff, participants, and the public
