TTUHSC Managed Care is currently hiring LVNs to join our Psychiatric Department (PAMIO) at the Clements Unit in Amarillo, TX, where your care makes a direct impact in the lives of individuals with serious mental illness.

This is your opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary mental health team supporting patients in the Program for the Aggressively Mentally Ill Offender (PAMIO), as well as those with chronic mental illness or in psychiatric crisis.

Competitive Shift Differentials Incentive Pay:

• $3/hour extra for day shifts worked on Saturday & Sunday
• $3/hour extra for night shifts worked Monday through Friday
• $6/hour extra for night shifts worked on Saturday & Sunday
• $250 bonus for every additional shift worked outside your regular rotation

What You'll Do:

• Monitor, report, and document patient responses and assist with goal-setting and care planning
• Administer and document medications
• Perform and assist with psychiatric procedures and interventions, documenting in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
• Provide direct therapeutic care to patients in PAMIO, CMI, and Crisis Management
• Stay current with mental health treatment trends and clinical standards
• Follow TTUHSC and Correctional Managed Health Care (CMHC) policies and security protocols
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of mental illness and correctional healthcare

Required Qualifications:

• Current Vocational Nurse license in the State of Texas, or ability to transfer license to Texas, or scheduled to complete a program of vocational nursing within 120 days of applying for a position.
• Current CPR certification.
• Graduated from an accredited nursing program. New graduates must pass the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN) on the first attempt.
