Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and machining processes, with the ability to work with various CNC machines including lathes and milling machines. This role requires expertise in interpreting blueprints and schematics, as well as a solid understanding of manufacturing principles and practices. The CNC Programmer will be responsible for developing efficient programs that meet production specifications while ensuring high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for various machining processes including CNC lathe and CNC milling machine operations.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to create precise machining instructions.
- Utilize CAM programming software such as SolidWorks and CATIA to design tooling and fixtures.
- Conduct setup and operation of CNC machines, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Troubleshoot programming issues and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to refine designs for manufacturability.
- Maintain accurate documentation of programs, setups, and production records.
Qualifications
- Proficient in CNC programming with experience in Fanuc controls preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
- Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus.
- Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks is essential.
- Understanding of machining processes including tooling selection, geometry, and material properties.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical drawings effectively.
- Strong math skills for calculations related to machining processes.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with an emphasis on precision machining is highly desirable.

Job Type: Temp-to-hire
Pay: $29.05 - $34.99 per hour
