Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a friendly and energetic demeanor upon arrival, ensuring they feel welcomed and appreciated
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize seating flow
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth service transitions
- Provide accurate wait times and assist guests in finding comfortable waiting areas when necessary
- Answer guest inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and clear communication, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting areas to uphold high standards of hospitality
- Handle guest relations with tact and positivity, resolving concerns promptly to enhance overall guest experience
Experience
- Prior experience as a host or hostess in a fast-paced food service or restaurant environment is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse guests
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Experience in hotel or guest services roles can be beneficial for understanding guest relations and hospitality standards
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to foster positive interactions with guests and team members
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining a friendly, energetic attitude throughout shifts
- Previous experience serving or working in hospitality settings will support your success in creating memorable guest experiences
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
