Duties
- Lead and supervise daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of customer service.
- Manage team schedules, assign tasks, and oversee shift management to maximize efficiency.
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new employees, providing comprehensive training in customer service, POS systems, merchandising, and store policies.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and coordinate purchasing to maintain optimal stock availability.
- Oversee inventory control procedures, including stock replenishment, pricing accuracy, and shrinkage prevention.
- Handle cash management duties such as cashiering, cash handling procedures, payroll processing, and bookkeeping.
- Implement effective merchandising strategies to enhance product presentation and sales performance.
- Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions and sales reporting.
- Develop marketing initiatives to attract customers and increase store traffic.
- Maintain a clean, organized store environment aligned with safety standards.
- Foster a team-oriented atmosphere through employee orientation sessions, ongoing training & development programs, and leadership support.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Manage budgeting processes and assist in achieving sales targets through strategic planning.
Skills
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervising responsibilities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly valued for diverse customer engagement.
- Proficiency in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing techniques, and recruiting practices.
- Skilled in inventory management, stock control, purchasing decisions, and retail math including pricing strategies.
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and cash register operations.
- Knowledge of retail sales techniques, merchandising principles, marketing strategies, and store management best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities through effective time management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with wireless sales or related product categories is a plus.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent phone etiquette and organizational skills.
- Experience in training & development initiatives aimed at enhancing team performance.
- Competence in budgeting processes and sales management to meet business objectives.
