Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for providing exceptional guest services in a fast-paced environment. This role combines front-of-house responsibilities with cash handling duties, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere while efficiently managing transactions.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage the flow of guests during busy periods, coordinating seating arrangements to optimize service efficiency.
- Take and process customer orders accurately using the Aloha POS system.
- Handle cash and credit transactions, ensuring all payments are processed correctly.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including menus and dining spaces.
- Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth operations and enhance guest relations.
- Assist in other areas as needed, including food service or guest services during peak times.
Skills
- Strong guest services skills with a focus on creating a welcoming environment.
- Previous experience in hotel or restaurant settings is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food service operations and customer service best practices.
- Proficient in using POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others contribute to an enjoyable dining experience for all guests.
