Finance Coordinator | 3 months | Non-profit | Fully Remote from NY/NJ ONLY
We are looking for a Finance Coordinator for an approximately 3 months long temporary position with our client. The role is Monday-Friday, 35-40 hours/week. The role is fully remote but must be done from NY/NJ, using your own computer/equipment.
Our client is a non-profit political organization that works with state legislations. This role provides junior level financial assistance and coordination to a small team during a busy period. This role helps with the day-today financial tasks of a complex non-profit.
This role is a TEMPORARY position through TSS. You would be employed and paid by our company and working directly with the client. Learn more about the role and TSS on our website.
Responsibilities:
-Coordinating and maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, assisting with various accounting functions, liaising with internal departments and external parties, and administering the organization’s various financial platforms. Help with the day-to-day financial tasks of a complex non-profit.
-Assist with meticulous data entry into financial systems. Update excel spreadsheets.
-Assist with payroll.
-Download data and put into budget. For example, download expense data from accountants and input/format it into departmental expense budgets. Download credit card statements and put into budgets.
-Process data in excel and sheets. Some updates and looking up in QuickBooks.
-Take on finance projects.
Qualifications:
-Must have 1-3 years of finance experience. Need someone who is familiar with account systems and analyzing financial data. For example: be able to read a P&L statement and financial report, be familiar with financial software and systems to understand the process.
-Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
-Must be incredibly meticulous and accurate with data. Need someone highly organized and proactive.
Technology: Google Drive, MS Office – especially Excel (import/export data, pivot tables), QuickBooks.
Compensation: $28-$30/hr
