1. POSITION SUMMARY
The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods to clients on a designated route. This position verifies daily manifest, loads and unloads trucks accordingly, and makes its stops efficiently. The Delivery Driver serves as a public representative of the company’s brand and is responsible for providing excellent customer service and professionalism at all times.
2. POSITION EXPECTATIONS
- Collect, check, and load all the day’s orders listed on their daily delivery manifest.
- Check all paperwork against Jump Track manifest and determine best route order.
- Check and load all outgoing bulk paper and water jugs.
- Ensure load is secure, cannot shift and will not fall over during transportation.
- Audit any outgoing White Glove orders and request changes as necessary.
- Mark all problems on the daily PDL and return to Customer Service for follow-up.
- Deliver all outgoing product to our customers and handle open pick-up requests.
- Maximize route and delivery efficiency while providing excellent customer service.
- Use Jump Track delivery software and tablet to collect Proof of Delivery information for all items delivered or picked-up.
- Maintains compliance with all company guidelines and company established delivery standards.
- Keep Customer Service and Driver Supervisor apprised of special situations that arise throughout the day.
- Field calls from Customer Service and Management and make accommodations for special requests as necessary.
- Process all customer returns and undelivered items nightly.
- Palletize all empty water jugs, used toner cartridges, and returned merchandise in accordance with local policies.
- Report any undelivered orders and pick-up issues to Supervisor.
- Keep up with general paperwork requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date Vehicle checklist and report problems to Supervisor.
- Submit all water spiffs, productivity reports, etc. in a timely manner.
- Ensures all product is delivered effectively, efficiently, and with high customer satisfaction
- Verifies that staged product matches daily manifest and promptly communicates any needed adjustments
- Performs basic carrying, lifting, and moving functions
- Delivers all outgoing product to clients and handles open pick-up requests
- Processes all customer returns and undelivered items daily
- Maintains up-to-date vehicle checklist and reports concerns to management
- Maintains a safe and clean vehicle and working environment by complying with policies, procedures, and regulations
- Understands all company safety guidelines and protocols outlined in the Safety Handbook
- Follows up on vehicle maintenance and inspections according to federal, state, and company guidelines
- Inspects product thoroughly for concealed damages and reports any findings according to company procedure
- Carefully handles, lifts, carries, loads, secures, and unloads materials, products, and tools on and off box trucks between storage locations and client worksites
- Mindfully shows care at worksites, including responsible treatment of client property and facilities:
- Ensures a professional finish at worksites by reasonably tidying, cleaning, and picking up debris;
- Cleans and wipes down all product, empties drawers (except instructions for customer), and removes tape and packing materials;
- Ensures no damage to client property or goods, whether item is preexisting or part of installation;
- Participates in a tidy workspace by removing trash, obstacles, and hazards throughout the workday;
- Confirms no product, materials, or tools are unintentionally left behind at worksite
- Maintains and uses company equipment appropriately, responsibly, and safely without damage or loss
- Uses safe and careful carrying and transportation techniques at all times, especially while carrying on stairs or performing a team lift
- Appropriately wraps and secures all product to minimize the risk of damage
- Collects supporting materials as needed, such as pictures for warranty claims or client signatures
- Visits client sites as assigned and delivers product efficiently and effectively
- Mindfully shows care at client sites, including responsible treatment of client property and facilities:
- Ensures professionalism at client locations, especially during interactions or in the manner of delivery;
- Ensures no damage to client property or goods, whether item is preexisting or part of the delivery;
- Checks own work after each project before leaving the client site to ensure quality;
- Confirms nothing was unintentionally left behind at a client’s site
- Collects supporting materials as needed, such as pictures for warranty claims or client signatures
- Maintains and uses company equipment appropriately, responsibly, and safely without damage or loss
- Uses safe and careful carrying and transportation techniques at all times, especially while carrying on stairs or on uneven ground or ramps
- Carefully handles, lifts, carries, loads, secures, and unloads materials, products, and tools on and off company vehicles and between storage locations and client sites
- Coordinates with Delivery management to confirm daily route based on client locations as needed
- Inspects product thoroughly for concealed damages; reports any findings according to company procedure
- Collects, checks, and loads all the day’s delivery product
- Checks and loads all outgoing goods and requests changes as necessary
- Ensures load is secure and cannot shift or fall in transit
- Appropriately wraps and secures all product to minimize the risk of damage
- Marks any issues and reports to management
- Delivers all outgoing product to clients and handles open pick-up requests

- Promptly communicates any delivery concerns or issues and secures client signature according to company procedures
- Reports any undelivered orders and pick-up issues to supervisor daily
- Receives calls from the internal team and makes accommodations for special requests as necessary
- Meets company standards for attendance and punctuality
- Maintains a safe and clean vehicle and working environment by complying with policies, procedures, and regulations
- Understands all company safety guidelines and protocols outlined in the Safety Handbook
- Maintains up-to-date vehicle checklist and reports concerns to management
- Follows up on vehicle maintenance and inspections as needed according to federal, state, and company guidelines
- Monitors own driving statistics provided by management from geo monitoring and ensures safety compliance.
- Maintains compliance with all company guidelines and company established standards
- Maintains clear and timely communication with management, including updates and concerns
- Builds a familiarity with the company’s product, including brands, specifications, finishes, and descriptions
- Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
- Other duties as assigned
3. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
4. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Education, Certifications, and/or Licenses:
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid DOT medical card
- A clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience:
- 3 years’ experience in an outside route-based, client-facing role preferred
- 1 year’s experience driving a box truck preferred
- Experience in wholesale workspace supplies industry a plus
Knowledge/Skills:
