TSR Consulting is currently seeking a highly motivated Python Engineer (W2) for an opportunity in Tampa, FL

Position Title: Python Engineer (W2)

Location: Tampa, FL

Job Type: Hybrid – 3 days to office & 2 days remote

Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a Python Engineer C12 to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience building modern software solutions using Python, microservices, RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, and emerging AI technologies, with a proven ability to deliver secure and scalable applications that align with engineering and governance standards.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and support Python-based applications and services.
• Build and maintain REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven integrations.
• Contribute to Agentic AI workflows and MCP-enabled application components.
• Implement integrations between AI models, enterprise systems, and business applications.
• Develop reusable services and components following enterprise engineering standards.
• Participate in the full SDLC including design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and operational controls to ensure reliability.
• Contribute to automation, CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks.
• Work with messaging and event-streaming technologies for asynchronous processing.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to analyze requirements and design solutions.
• Support issue resolution, performance tuning, and enhancements.
• Document technical designs, implementation details, and operational procedures.
• Follow established security, governance, and risk management standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 2–5 years of experience developing applications using Python.
• Proficiency with RESTful APIs and microservices development using frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture and messaging platforms.
• Knowledge of SQL and database technologies.
• Experience with source control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related STEM field, or equivalent experience.
