TSR Consulting is currently seeking a highly motivated AML SAR Writer at New Castle, DE Hybrid

Position Title: AML SAR Writer

Location: New Castle, DE

Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Expected Duration: 3 months, possible extension based on business needs

Job Type: Hybrid

Job Description:

• Manage a caseload of AML investigations from intake to completion in accordance with AML procedures and policies.
• Review system-generated and manual cases, including alerts from Automated Alerts (EAP, Mantas) and manual referrals.
• Document and report case review findings and prepare comprehensive case files, including media search results, statements, checks, and internal search outputs.
• Conduct research using bank systems, the internet, and external databases to resolve investigations.
• Collect and analyze financial statements, transaction data, and related documents to identify unusual patterns.
• Engage points of contact to obtain additional information supporting case resolution.
• Document all research and analysis in the Case Management System with clarity and accuracy.
• Create Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), recommend relationship retention or termination, and track account closures as required.
• Liaise with CRIU units, ACRM, Business partners, CSIS, FIU Legal, Trade Surveillance, and Law Enforcement, as applicable.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 1–5 years of experience reviewing customer transactions and information for potentially suspicious activity and performing AML or financial investigations.
• Demonstrated experience writing and preparing SARs in line with regulatory requirements preferred.
• Knowledge of BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, US Treasury AML guidelines, OFAC, SEC, FINRA, FRB, FinCEN, and SAR requirements.
• Understanding of Senior Public Figures, Money Service Businesses, Wealth Management, and Retail Banking compliance preferred.
• Strong writing, analytical, communication, and research skills, including online search tools.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills with attention to detail and follow-up.
• Self-starter who is organized and able to work independently.

Preferred Skills:

• CAMS certification.
• Prior experience in large financial institution AML programs.
