Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage check-in and check-out procedures using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Collect and document patient information, including vital signs, medical history, and insurance details with accuracy and professionalism
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and supporting procedures like EKG, and blood draw
- Perform basic medical procedures including ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), related tasks to support accurate diagnosis and treatment plans
- Manage patient intake processes, schedule appointments, and coordinate follow-up visits in outpatient or inpatient settings
- Maintain detailed medical records while adhering to confidentiality standards and hospital policies
- Support administrative duties such as answering phones, managing appointment calendars, verifying insurance information, and handling patient inquiries with excellent service skills
Experience
Prior experience working in Family medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine settings is highly desirable
- Hands-on experience with EHR systems for documentation and appointment management
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration processes
