About the Role:

This is a 2nd Shift Machine Operator position.  The hours are 3 pm until 11 pm. The Wet Laminator Machine Operator plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by operating and maintaining wet laminating equipment to produce high-quality laminated products. This position requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure that materials are laminated according to precise specifications, meeting both quality and safety standards. The operator will be responsible for setting up the machine, monitoring its operation, and making necessary adjustments to optimize performance and minimize waste. Collaboration with quality control and maintenance teams is essential to troubleshoot issues and maintain continuous production flow. Ultimately, the role ensures that laminated products meet customer requirements and contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the manufacturing operation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience operating wet laminating or similar manufacturing machinery.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine machine maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret production orders, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification or training in machine operation or manufacturing processes.
• Experience with troubleshooting and minor repairs of laminating equipment.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including overtime as needed.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and calibrate wet laminating machines according to job specifications and production schedules.
• Monitor machine operation continuously to ensure consistent quality and adherence to safety protocols.
• Inspect laminated materials for defects or inconsistencies and make adjustments to the machine as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to prevent downtime and extend machine life.
• Document production data, machine performance, and any issues encountered during shifts.
• Collaborate with quality assurance and maintenance teams to resolve technical problems promptly.
• Follow all company safety guidelines and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
