8/C Press Operator

Job Summary:

Operate and maintain assigned equipment to production standards and quality.

Shift: 4SN, 5:00pm-5:00am, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Analyze and interpret job jackets to thoroughly understand the needs of the customer, communicating those instructions to co-workers
• Perform manual and machine operator tasks related to the set-up, maintenance, and operations of the press
• Give direction to machine crew through production and down time. Provide leadership when necessary
• Constantly monitor quality of finished product to ensure customer's satisfaction - verifying quantity to be printed, stock specifications, colors and special printing instructions
• Ability to identify visual defects and apply correcting solution to repair defect
• Responsible for general preventive maintenance and inspection of machine as required
• Follow all required safety procedures such as: PPE's, Ergonomics, and etc. Performs job in a manner that protects the health and safety of all employees. Assist with housekeeping in the Press area
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Good mechanical and math skills
• Knowledge of Press materials, supplies, and Electronic Job Jacket
• Technical problem-solving skills
• Graphic Art knowledge is required to regulate the flow of ink, monitor ink density, position on paper and registration and makes adjustments to press throughout production run to maintain specific registration and color density

Desired Skills and Abilities:

• 3 to 5 years of related offset press experience desired

Physical Requirements

• Ability to be able to lift up to 50 pounds
