What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping/Receiving Clerk position at TSC?
TSC’s is seeking an Experienced Shipping/Receiving Clerk located in our Huntsville, AL location to support our production division.
Responsibilities:
Ensures materials are received from proper vendors, that they are delivered to inventory, and that finished goods are packaged according to specification and shipped in a timely manner. Reviews receipt of all materials to ensure purchase orders are open and the quality of materials received is correct. Ensures the security and accountability of materials and goods with inventory control. Ensures materials are available to meet production schedules and/or products are shipped as per marketing schedules. Establishes and modifies operational methods and procedures. Maintains documentation to reflect the effectiveness and efficiency of department activities. Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent and 1 years of experience in a similar role involving warehouse operations, shipping, and receiving tasks.
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance as needed.
- Proficiency in using inventory management systems and Microsoft Office
- Precision in counting, verifying orders, and checking for accuracy in shipments.
- Experience using CostPoint
- Ability to maintain clear records and ensure proper documentation
- Efficiency in processing orders and organizing tasks to meet deadlines.
- Good verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members, vendors, and clients.
