Shipping & Receiving / Facilities Clerk
ABOUT THE ROLE
Baron Weather Inc. is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving/Facilities Clerk to manage the flow of inbound and outbound materials while also serving as a key point of contact for facilities upkeep. This is a full-time, on-site position working standard business hours.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Shipping & Receiving
- Receive, inspect, and log incoming shipments for accuracy and damage
- Pick, pack, and prepare outbound shipments; generate shipping labels and documentation
- Coordinate with carriers (UPS, FedEx, freight lines, etc.) to schedule pickups and resolve delivery issues
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update tracking systems
- Organize and maintain the stockroom/warehouse area, including proper storage and labeling
- Operate material handling equipment (hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.) safely
- Communicate with internal departments regarding order status, delays, or discrepancies
Facilities
- Serve as the primary contact for building systems monitoring (HVAC, lighting, plumbing) and escalate issues as needed
- Schedule and coordinate with outside vendors for maintenance, janitorial services, pest control, and repairs
- Conduct routine facility walkthroughs to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards
- Support basic facility upkeep tasks (minor repairs, furniture setup, signage, etc.)
- Help maintain compliance with building safety standards and coordinate related inspections
- Manage facility-related supplies and reorder as needed
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse, or logistics preferred
- Experience coordinating vendors or general facilities/maintenance exposure is a plus
- Comfortable using basic computer systems (inventory software, email, spreadsheets)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods
- Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple priorities across a workday
- Good communication skills for working with carriers, vendors, and internal teams
