Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and confident Quality Manager to lead our quality assurance and compliance initiatives within our food manufacturing operations. This role partners closely with production, operations, sales and leads the team to maintain the highest levels of food safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
Duties
- Oversee and lead internal and external SQF quality audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Ensure product specifications are up to date and manage lot traceability and documentation.
- Oversee quality control processes including inspections, testing, and validation activities across manufacturing operations.
- Oversee HACCP plans, preventive controls and food safety prerequisites
- Manage non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development projects to ensure quality standards are integrated from inception through production.
- Supervise and mentor quality technicians and compliance personnel
- Lead efforts in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product safety, efficiency and overall quality.
- Oversee Sanitation personnel
Requirements and Education
- 5 years experience in a quality management role within food manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Quality Management, Chemistry or related field preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting quality audits and inspections.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives in a fast paced environment
- Analytical skills with data-driven decision making.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.
- Relevant certifications in quality management including HACCP, SQF Practitioner, PCQI
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
