Role Description
Looking for a ROCKSTAR Vice President to be full time in our Beverly Hills office. The Vice President will be responsible for leading investment strategies, overseeing property acquisitions, managing financial analyses and market research, and developing and maintaining relationships with industry stakeholders. The role requires active participation in deal negotiations and ensuring that investment objectives are met. Additionally, the Vice President will regularly interface with all senior professionals and will mentor and collaborate with junior team members.
Responsibilities:
-Support the development and execution of the firm’s investment strategies.
-Source and oversee the due diligence/underwriting process on potential new investments.
-Prepare and present Investment Committee memorandums describing potential new investments to the Investment Committee.
-Maintain a market presence and broker & operator partner relationships in West Coast markets.
-Negotiate and review joint venture operating agreements, purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, management agreements.
-Execute business plans for new investments with minimal supervision.
-Supervise and train junior staff.
-Review property reports and track operating performance relative to pro forma, forecasts, asset strategies, and investment targets, and prepare summaries and present results.
-Assist with capital raising presentations and other investor relations requests.
Requirements:
-At least 7 years of commercial real estate experience including a minimum of 5 years of experience acquiring and managing various real estate assets classes in West Coast markets, at a private equity real estate firm or equivalent.
-A distinguished educational background with a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, real estate, or another related field.
-Relationships with operators, brokers and market participants in West Coast markets.
-Advanced financial modeling experience.
-Experience structuring complex investments.
-Experience negotiating with joint venture partners and lenders.
-Significant experience managing the due-diligence, acquisitions, financing, and closing process of investments.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
-Excellent critical thinking, judgment, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills (i.e. able to find acceptable solutions to business challenges).
-Strong understanding of financial analysis, modeling, and valuation, and the ability to use financial and valuation software including Excel.
-Outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
-Flexibility regarding taking on duties and responsibilities more typically expected from senior leadership or junior staff, depending on circumstance.
-Highly developed sense of responsibility and initiative, and an appreciation for accuracy and detail. Experience in delivering presentations to senior management, investment committees, and clients.
-Ability to travel regularly.
