Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist
Role overview
The Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a key role in keeping our portfolio of premium beers and fine wines moving smoothly through the business by ensuring payments are processed accurately and efficiently. This role is responsible for receiving, verifying, and applying an average of 200 payments per day. The AR specialist also tracks and reports on past-due invoices, working closely with internal teams to support timely reconciliation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Balance all delivery routes by verifying payments match.
- Prepare and verify all cash for the courier.
- Notify operations of any missing payments or short pays.
- Send out notices and track any NSF’s.
- Process Employee Purchases and Supplier Samples invoices.
- Review, track, and send out notices weekly for short pays.
- Update an Excel spreadsheet as instructed and download the information into Microsoft Teams.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Exemplary team participation.
- Excellent ability to follow procedures and directions.
- Ability to problem solve issues and independently develop solutions.
- Ability to audit an account to determine outstanding balance.

Highly proficient in database and accounting computer application systems.
- Microsoft Office, Teams, and Encompass
- Must be able to use a 10-key desktop calculator.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance (preferred).
- Three years or more experience in Accounts Receivable (preferred).
Working conditions
- Mostly indoor office environment
- Noise from routine office equipment and some warehouse equipment/vehicle noise
- Frequent interruptions
Physical requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally.
