Telecommunications Technician (Contract)
Location: Thornton, CO (Onsite / Field-Based – No Remote)

About the Role
Tryfacta is seeking a Telecommunications Technician to support Adams 12 Five Star Schools within the IT Infrastructure Operations team. This is a hands-on, onsite role responsible for supporting and maintaining the District’s Mitel VoIP telephone system across multiple school and administrative locations.
This position requires field-based work and close collaboration with network and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable voice communications.
What You’ll Do
- Support and troubleshoot Mitel VoIP endpoints and services
- Perform basic telephone station troubleshooting
- Support voicemail systems
- Maintain and troubleshoot analog phone lines
- Install, replace, and maintain voice-related equipment in MDF/IDF environments
- Support UPS and VoIP infrastructure components
- Coordinate with Network and Infrastructure teams
- Document issues, resolutions, and system changes
What We’re Looking For
- Experience supporting enterprise VoIP systems (Mitel preferred; training available)
- Working knowledge of structured cabling and network infrastructure
- Experience working in MDF/IDF environments and field-based sites
- Ability to perform installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in an onsite, field-based role
