If you meet the qualifications listed below and are interested, please Apply Now!Position Title: Senior Special Projects Associate (Fleet Audit Specialist)Location: Milpitas, CA 95035Duration: 8-12 weeksWork Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (M-F) 40hrs./week | Possibility of 1-2 days WFH per week. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:Conduct comprehensive physical inventory of all City fleet vehicles and equipment across multiple locations and facilities.Document asset identification information including VIN numbers, serial numbers, license plates, and City asset tags through systematic inspection and photographic documentation.Assess physical condition of vehicles and equipment using standardized rating systems and detailed condition reports.Record GPS coordinates, current locations, and departmental assignments for all audited assets.Reconcile physical inventory findings against official City asset database and identify discrepancies.Investigate missing assets through interviews with department personnel and review of transfer, disposal, and maintenance records.Research unrecorded assets found during physical inventory to determine proper classification and valuation.Prepare standardized audit forms and maintain detailed documentation for each asset inspected.Coordinate with City department supervisors and staff to ensure access to facilities and equipment.Analyze audit findings to identify patterns, systemic issues, and areas for improved internal controls.Prepare comprehensive final audit report with detailed findings, recommendations, and supporting documentation. To be considered for this position, you should have: [Skills, Education, or Experience]Experience: Five years of responsible experience in fleet management, asset management, inventory control, or related auditing work in a governmental or commercial environment.Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Some college coursework or vocational training in business, logistics, or related field preferred but not required.
