Job Summary:

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

Nature of Work:
- This is an entry-level, technical work in the delivery, installation, setup, testing, and maintenance of computer hardware and software components.
- Seasonals in this classification are responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computer hardware/software and providing department-wide end-user support.
- Install computer hardware, including personal computers, thin client terminals, printers, telephone handsets, and other components.
- Installation of various computer software.
- Isolate the nature of system failures or PC problems and utilize diagnostic utilities to troubleshoot problems.
- Provides department-wide end-user support and service regarding hardware and software problems.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of the current principles and practices of computer systems technology
- Basic knowledge of the current research and trends of new computer-related technologies
- Basic knowledge of cabling/wiring strategies.
- Basic knowledge of computer software applications to understand the process of installing and uninstalling software programs.
- Troubleshooting skills for network problems.
- System tools skill for troubleshooting.
- Skill in the use of computers and peripheral equipment.
- One year of experience in the installation, maintenance, or repair of personal computers and related equipment is required.
