What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Supervisor (Lancaster) position at TRY-IT DISTRIBUTING CO INC?
Summary:
The Delivery Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day activities related to the general delivering of company product and stakeholder management.
Essential Functions (must be able to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation):
• Oversees day-to-day activities of the delivery team at the Lancaster Location
• Work on driver safety (how to lift properly- proper mechanics).
• Assist Delivery Manager with accident reduction; work with Delivery Manager to train and mentor Delivery Drivers.
• Work with and assist entire Sales Department as necessary.
• Supervise delivery stakeholders; interview, onboard, train, check-in, performance reviews, and disciplinary action as needed.
• Works with other management to ensure all delivery staff are fully trained and equipped to execute all safety procedures and company policies.
• Work with Drivers in Training to obtain their CDL A licenses in a timely manner.
• Performs administrative activities and data tracking associated with the effective management of delivery.
• Ensures the trucks are maintained to the standard expected by the VP Operations.
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. At least five (5) years related experience and/or training in delivery or management work.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers, business partners, and other employees of the organization.
• To perform this job successfully, the DS must be able to learn and use internal company software, database software, and internet software, order processing systems, spreadsheet software and word processing software.
• Understanding of product code dating system
• Valid CDLA License

This job operates in a warehouse environment and in a tractor trailer/delivery truck.
Salary : $64,000 - $72,000
