Trux LLC is a fabrication and heavy truck body shop working on heavy duty trucks and truck equipment based out of Union City, PA. Our fast-paced shop and office is looking for an experienced Heavy Truck Body Shop Technician. As a Heavy Truck Body Shop Technician , you will have the unique opportunity to blend your technical skills with your creativity on projects!
This is a FULL-TIME in-person, hourly position - pay based on experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Painting of heavy trucks, truck parts and related equipment
- Preparing and prepping items to be painted
- General repairs as well as heavy collision work
- Sandblast truck frames and equipment
- Effectively sand, prep and –paint trucks, parts, truck bodies and related items
- Responsible for cleaning paint booth,workstations and equipment after each use
- Completing each repair/paint job in a timely, efficient and professional manner
- Complete other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 3 years in automobile or heavy truck body shop setting required
Experience with automotive or heavy truck painting preferred
- Must have ability to work off ladders
- Minor welding and fabrication work – experience sandblasting preferred
- Must be willing to own or purchase the appropriate tools for prep work, basic hand and air tools
- Proven attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills
- Self-motivated and the ability to work independently and as a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work with a variety of products
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb on and off equipment, bend, kneel, reach, stand and squat
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required
- Ability to work from a step ladder
