Position Summary
We are now hiring a Sterile Processing Technician to assist Physician(s) and the Nurse Manager by preparing, maintaining and anticipating instrument and procedural needs for all surgical procedures in accordance to regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
• Obtaining supplies from other areas as needed• Returning supplies and equipment to the appropriate location• Assisting in keeping the Central Sterile area neat and orderly• Effecting handling health or safety hazards for self and patients• Reporting any unusual occurrences or incidents accurately to the Clinical Director• Performing other duties as required
Qualifications
Previous experience is preferred.Certification in appropriate professional field.
Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the U.S.High school diploma or equivalent.Ability to relate and work effectively with others.Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patientcare and to meet documentation standards.Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own professionaladvancement.Aware of clinical standards and performs in accordance with them.
