Position: Production Manager

Reports to: Operations Leadership
Overview
TrustStone Group is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Manager to take full ownership of orders from purchase order through final shipment and delivery. This individual will manage a high volume of SKUs across multiple consumer product categories and serve as the primary point of contact for overseas factories.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates proactively across time zones, and ensures all production timelines are executed efficiently with no delays.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Order Management
- Own and manage assigned orders from PO placement through final shipment and delivery
- Maintain and update detailed Work In Progress (WIP) reports on a daily basis
- Track production timelines, approvals, shipment schedules, and delivery deadlines
- Oversee all stages of production, including:
- Sample development
- Pre-Production (PP) samples
- Mass Production (MP) samples
- Top of Production (TOP) samples
- Packaging approvals
- Inspection coordination
- Shipment execution
- Ensure all approvals, revisions, and follow-ups are completed in a timely manner
Factory & Supplier Communication
- Communicate daily with overseas factories and suppliers, including off-hours as needed
- Build strong supplier relationships while holding partners accountable to deadlines and quality standards
- Proactively follow up on open items including approvals, testing, packaging, labeling, and shipping updates
- Negotiate pricing, timelines, MOQs, and production schedules when required
- Escalate risks, delays, or quality concerns to leadership immediately
Sample Review & Product Execution
- Review production samples, packaging, and shipment samples with strong attention to detail
- Provide clear, actionable feedback and corrections to factories
- Ensure all products meet company quality standards and customer specifications
- Identify potential production or quality issues prior to shipment
- Coordinate revisions and approvals to avoid delays
Reporting & Operational Support
- Maintain production trackers, shipment logs, and product data records
- Generate production labels, packaging details, carton markings, and shipping documentation
- Provide regular production status updates to internal stakeholders
- Ensure all internal systems, reports, and documentation are accurate and current
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, design, logistics, compliance, and warehouse teams
Problem Solving & Execution
- Proactively identify and resolve production delays, supplier issues, and shipment risks
- Manage multiple orders and priorities simultaneously with strong attention to detail
- Operate effectively under pressure in a fast-moving environment
- Take full ownership and accountability for all assigned orders and deadlines
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in production, sourcing, supply chain, or operations
- Experience working with overseas factories, particularly in China
- Strong knowledge of WIP management, production timelines, quality control, and shipping processes
- Experience reviewing and approving production samples
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, ERP systems, and production tracking tools (A2000 preferred)
- Experience in consumer product categories such as tech, beauty, home, kitchen, or outdoor is a plus
- Willingness to work flexible hours to support overseas communication
