About The Human Resources Generalist Role
The Human Resources Generalist plays a vital role in supporting daily HR operations, acting as a key partner to management and employees. This position ensures compliance, enhances employee experience, and supports payroll, HRIS, and performance management processes across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain and manage HRIS systems, including data integrity, reporting, and system updates.
- Support performance management processes including reviews, coaching, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assist with recruitment efforts including job postings, screening, and onboarding.
- Provide employee relations support and guidance to managers and staff.
- Maintain employee records and ensure audit readiness.
- Support benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries.
- Assist with HR reporting and analytics to support business decisions.
Qualifications & Skills
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2–5 years of HR Generalist experience. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with payroll processing, HRIS systems, and performance management.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Well - organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work to time sensitive deadlines.
- Ability to work well independently and in groups.
- Working knowledge with Microsoft Office Programs; Excel and Word.
- Fluent in English; bilingual a plus
- Ability to lift 10–20 lbs., stand for extended periods.
- Experience in banking related field
- Professional in Human Resources Certification (PHR).
- Society of Human Resources Management Certified Professional Certification (SHRM-CP).
