Your Role

 

As a Credentialing Specialist, you’ll play a vital behind-the-scenes role in making sure our medical providers are credentialed accurately and in a timely manner. You’ll manage critical documentation, support compliance with regulatory requirements, and ensure that our providers are ready to deliver care without interruption. What You’ll Do

 

  • Complete initial and recredentialing applications for medical providers, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
  • Track expiration dates for licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice insurance, and certifications, initiating renewals as needed
  • Maintain digital and physical credentialing files for each provider, ensuring documentation is current and complete
  • Manage provider data in credentialing systems and portals (e.g., CAQH, PECOS)
  • Respond to external requests for provider verifications and privileges
  • Support the TrustCare Leadership Team with credentialing reports, audits, and special projects
  • Assist with day-to-day department tasks, contributing to a smooth and efficient workflow

 

Position Details & Work Environment

  • Type of Role: Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM
  • Work Environment: Office-based with standard equipment use; primarily sedentary with occasional clinic visits

Qualifications to Shine

  • 2 years of credentialing experience in a healthcare setting required
  • Familiarity with CAQH, PECOS, licensure verification, and credentialing software
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred
  • CPCS (Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist) certification is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare credentialing requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable working with digital records
