Job Overview
We are seeking professional and dependable Delivery Drivers in Grimes. This role will involve being the face of our delivery operation, delivering and installing household appliances for our customers and clients. Job details will include lifting and moving heavy appliances with your team mate, safely operating a 26ft box truck, being responsible for the freight while on the road, maintaining acceptable scores for the client and most importantly, providing excellent customer service with a professional attitude.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices.
- Follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals at each destination.
- Load and unload merchandise, often requiring heavy lifting and proper merchandising techniques.
- Build strong customer relationships through professional communication, addressing inquiries and providing exceptional service during deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries
- Comply with all traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving or delivery roles is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations, heavy lifting techniques, and safe lifting practices is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple deliveries efficiently while maintaining high customer service standards.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; must pass background check.
