Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounts receivable and be proficient in double entry bookkeeping. The role involves managing the day-to-day operations of accounts receivable, ensuring timely payment of invoices, and maintaining accurate records.
Duties:
- Process and track incoming invoices, ensuring all necessary documentation is received and accounted for.
- Enter invoices into the accounting system (QuickBooks) using technical accounting principles.
- Prepare and send invoices to clients in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable, including journal entries and coding.
- Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to accounts receivable.
- Prepare and review monthly accounts payable reports.
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting regulations.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure efficient and accurate processing of accounts.
- Perform monthly reconciliations and prepare necessary reports.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with clients and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Proficiency in technical accounting principles.
- Strong understanding of journal entries and coding.
- Experience with QuickBooks accounting software.
- Excellent math skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a remote environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
