Floor Care Attendant- Housekeeping (All Shifts)

POSITION PURPOSE: 

The Floor Care Attendant position is responsible for all care of the carpets and flooring to ensure the best possible appearance and maintenance of the hotels at all times.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

• Sweep, mop and polish hard floor surfaces throughout public and hotel areas.
• Cleaning and shampooing carpet and upholstery with a variety of equipment.
• Shampoo and extract and/or spot clean all public and hotel area carpets. 
• Maintain all floors for the best possible appearance and to prolong the life of surfaces. Be familiar with all hotel services to respond to guest inquiries accurately. 
• Must be able to move furniture
• Must be able to clean SPA mattresses.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and compliance with departmental policies, services, procedures and standards. 
• Uses correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and management requirements.
• Clean walls and ceilings as required.
• Perform blood borne treatment by procedure as required. 
• Perform other duties and handles projects as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

EDUCATION 

High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

EXPERIENCE 

Previous experience preferred but not required. Must be able to work overnights, nights, holidays, and weekends.
