We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team at Trump National Golf Club in Washington D.C. In this pivotal role the Accounting Manager will assist the Controller in managing all financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance while contributing to the club's commitment to excellence in service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments to vendors and accurate collection of revenue.
- Financial Statement Preparation: Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Budget Management: Assist in the development and monitoring of the club's annual budget and cash flow plan.
- Payroll Management: Oversee Manage and process Club's bi-weekly payroll.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting policies, tax laws and regulations.
- Internal Controls: Maintain a strong internal control environment to safeguard club assets.
- Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Supervision: Supervise accounting staff, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
- Communication: Communicate financial information clearly and concisely to club management, committees, and members.
- Reporting: Prepare reports on financial performance for meetings and presentations.
Requirements
Specific Job Requirements:
- Revenue Audits: Perform daily revenue audits for revenue-generating departments like the golf course, food and beverage, and pro shop.
- Membership Management: Manage membership dues, payments, and related financial records.
- Vendor Management: Monitor contracts with vendors and ensure timely payments.
- Capital Budgeting: Assist in the planning and management of capital projects.
- Cost Analysis: Analyze costs associated with different club operations to identify areas for cost reduction.
- Knowledge and experience with the Jonas system
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
