Seeking an individual that combines solid accounting and close management expertise with strong FP&A and business partnering capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the month-end close process for the assigned business unit(s), including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, close reviews, and coordination with shared service teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting under GAAP.
- Maintain proper accounting for the business unit(s) and ensure financial results are recorded accurately in accordance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Support compliance activities, including SOX-related controls, reconciliations, analytical reviews, and documentation of key processes and procedures.
- Analyze actual results versus budget, forecast, and prior year performance; identify key drivers, explain variances, and communicate insights to business leadership.
- Develop and maintain profitability and sales analytics, including product line performance, mix analysis, promotional impacts, rebates, discounts, discretionary spending, and other commercial metrics.
- Serve as a finance business partner to commercial and operational stakeholders, providing decision support and recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Lead portions of the annual budget and forecasting process, partnering with leadership and cost center owners to establish targets aligned with sales and profitability objectives.
- Oversee accounting and financial analysis related to distributor programs, deferred revenue, warranty and royalty programs, and sales incentive compensation arrangements.
- Identify opportunities to streamline reporting, automate processes, and improve the efficiency and quality of finance operations.
- Participate in cross-functional projects that evaluate, recommend, and implement new business and finance initiatives.
- Support ad hoc analyses and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 4 years of experience in industry finance, corporate finance, FP&A, accounting, or public accounting.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, month-end close processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Experience analyzing manufacturing, operations, or product-based businesses is a plus.
- Experience with SAP and advanced Microsoft Excel is a plus.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Self-directed and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects to completion.
Salary : $90,000 - $115,000
