Corporate Controller (42011)
Our client is an organization in the Milwaukee County area that’s looking for a Corporate Controller. This company is looking for someone with 15 years of experience, who is motivated, and who has excellent communication skills. This company offers a a collaborative culture, flexibility, and a strong, tenured team. This position is hybrid.
The salary for this job is $225k - $250k.
The Corporate Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive data- and metrics-driven financial reporting, planning, and forecasting to support effective business decision-making.
- Direct the preparation of monthly management reports, analyze key financial trends and variances, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Lead accounting and finance policy and procedure updates and serve as a key resource for technical accounting matters and U.S. GAAP guidance.
- Act as a cross-functional leader on strategic initiatives by developing financial models for growth strategies, cost-reduction projects, and margin and product profitability analyses.
- Partner closely with different teams to provide financial insight and contract support, collaborating with HR/Benefits, IT, and tax and treasury teams on projects, investments, and compliance and planning initiatives.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, lenders, and third-party consultants and oversee timely and accurate external financial reporting.
- Foster a collaborative team environment by developing finance staff and supporting recruiting and talent development initiatives.
The Corporate Controller will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting from a four-year college or university.
- CPA with a minimum of 15 years of experience. Direct experience in a manufacturing or products driven business.
- Thorough understanding of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines, as well as adjust to changing priorities.
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial analysis in a clear and precise manner.
