Our client is an organization in the Milwaukee area that’s looking for an Accounting Manager. Our client is looking for someone with 4 years of experience, analytical, and has excellent leadership skills. This company offers a collaborative culture, a great work/life balance, and flexibility. The salary for this position is $80K - $100K.
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Analyze business costs, revenues, cash flow, and financial obligations to forecast results and provide strategic recommendations to the CFO.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintenance of special entity records.
- Coordinate the preparation of tax filings, regulatory reports, and state professional and business license renewals to ensure compliance.
- Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, auditors, insurance brokers, and clients.
- Evaluate and improve accounting and payroll systems, supporting upgrades and system transitions to meet business needs.
- Partner with Project Managers and Partners to set up and update contracts, project plans, and amendments within the accounting system.
- Provide oversight and backup for all accounting and payroll functions, including business insurance renewals and certificate of insurance issuance.
The Accounting Manager will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CMA or CPA designation or candidate preferred
- 4 years of progressive experience
- Knowledge of GAAP and how to apply them to routine and complex business environments
- Highly analytical and detail oriented
- Results driven with a strong business acumen
