We are partnering with a stable, Milwaukee-based company seeking an Accountant to support core accounting functions, with a strong emphasis on account reconciliations and month-end close. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering hands-on exposure and the ability to make an immediate impact on the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations
- Support and execute the month-end close process
- Assist in maintaining accurate and timely financial records
- Analyze account activity and investigate discrepancies
- Support sales reporting and related financial analysis as needed
- Work within the ERP system to ensure data accuracy and consistency
- Partner with internal teams to gather information and resolve issues
- Assist with additional accounting projects and process improvements
Qualifications:
- 2 years of accounting experience (reconciliations and/or close experience preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is a plus, but not required
- Strong Excel skills (ability to organize data, use formulas, and analyze trends)
- Experience with an ERP system (Shopworks experience a plus)
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
