Receiving Inspector

We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Inspector to join our client's Quality team in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for inspecting, verifying, and processing incoming materials to ensure they meet quality standards before entering production. The ideal candidate will have receiving experience, familiarity with inspection tools, and the ability to thrive in a quality-driven manufacturing setting.

Compensation:
$24.00 - $27.00 per hour DOE

Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Location:
Auburn, WA

Responsibilities:

• Inspect incoming materials and products to verify conformance to purchase orders, engineering drawings, and material specifications
• Verify accuracy, quantity, and condition of incoming shipments
• Utilize inspection tools including calipers, scales, radius gauges, pin gauges, and other measuring equipment
• Complete inspection documentation, receiving records, and quality-related paperwork accurately
• Receive, process, and stock incoming materials in a timely manner
• Ensure deliveries are received and processed efficiently to support production schedules
• Safely operate a forklift to move and store incoming materials
• Maintain inventory accuracy and organization within receiving areas
• Follow Lean manufacturing and 5S workplace organization practices
• Collaborate with production, quality, and warehouse teams to support operational goals
• Adhere to all company safety policies and quality standards

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum 5 years of receiving experience in a materials, inventory, or warehouse environment
• Manufacturing experience preferred
• Experience performing incoming material inspections preferred
• Proficient computer skills and strong mathematical aptitude
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, specifications, and written instructions
• Experience using precision measuring instruments including calipers, dial indicators, pin gauges, and related inspection tools
• Forklift experience required
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently throughout the workday
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moderate noise, dust, fumes, chemicals, and varying temperatures
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift
• Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas
• Strong hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and attention to detail required

Additional Requirements:

• Must be eligible to work in compliance with U.S. Export Control regulations (ITAR). Qualified applicants must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Asylee, or Refugee.
