Position Summary: Under the leadership of the President, the Vice President for Advancement is
responsible for creating and overseeing the implementation of a comprehensive, strategic approach to
fundraising and marketing. This includes implementation of the President’s strategic plans to improve
University operations and systems to achieve the University’s long-term vision.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Understand and relate effectively to diverse groups including faculty, students, administrators,
supervisors, and support staff to translate their requirements into operational terms.
• Demonstrate ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with other
employees, including support staff, faculty and administrators.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws relating to fundraising and non-profit giving
requirements.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
• Excellent verbal/written communication.
• Strong analytical, decision-making abilities and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements: Master’s degree preferred, Bachelor’s degree
required. Preferred proven experience with communication and leading groups of individuals to attain
mutually beneficial goals.
