We’re looking for a Business Operations and Development Intern to support internal operations and agency growth initiatives during the summer. This role is designed for a business-focused student or recent graduate interested in agency operations, systems, process improvement, and strategic business support. The intern will contribute to core operational workflows while also supporting projects tied to business development and long-term agency growth.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and excited to learn how a fast-moving agency operates behind the scenes. This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys solving practical problems, keeping systems clean and accurate, and helping teams work more efficiently.
Location: Dallas, TX, hybrid work environment with 3 days per week in office and 2 days remote
Duration: May through August
Schedule and Pay: Full-time, 40 hours per week at $15/hour
Core Responsibilities:
Business Operations & Systems Support
- Support day-to-day operational workflows that help the agency run smoothly and efficiently.
- Assist with platform setup and access.
- Help manage internal filing, organization, and implementation, including cleanup and support for stronger file structure and consistency.
- Maintain and update internal vendor database for suppliers.
- Support documentation and process improvement efforts by helping organize SOPs, trackers, templates, and internal resources.
- Support asset, equipment, and inventory tracking.
- Contribute to internal audits, workflow reviews, and special projects focused on operational efficiency and scalability.
Business Development Support
- Assist with business development coordination and agency growth initiatives.
- Support research, pipeline tracking, and administrative follow-up related to new business efforts.
- Help organize materials, maintain trackers, and support process consistency across business development workflows.
Team & Culture Support
- Assist with planning, logistics, and follow-through for internal meetings, team activities, and culture-focused initiatives.
- Help keep shared resources, calendars, and internal communications organized and up to date.
- Pitch in where needed on cross-functional projects and administrative support that helps teams stay aligned and productive.
What Success Looks Like:
- You keep operational details organized, accurate, and moving forward without constant oversight.
- Internal systems, trackers, and resources are cleaner, more consistent, and easier for the team to use because of your support.
- Business development materials and workflows are well maintained, timely, and dependable.
- You take initiative, communicate clearly, and follow through on tasks in a way that builds trust with the team.
- By the end of the summer, you have contributed meaningful improvements to how the agency works behind the scenes and gained a strong understanding of agency operations and growth support.
Qualifications:
- Current student, recent graduate, or early-career professional with interest or relevant experience in business operations, administration, or related field.
- Agency or professional services experience strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and Canva.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Confident communicator who takes initiative and solves problems independently.
