Trueline’s client, a national litigation defense firm with deep trial expertise, is seeking an Associate Attorney, Warranty Defense to join their West Los Angeles office. This is a hybrid opportunity for attorneys to take on high-exposure warranty and general liability cases, sharpen their litigation skills, and work closely with seasoned partners in a collaborative, mentoring environment.
What You’ll Do as the Associate Attorney, Warranty Defense:
Handle litigation related to California warranty law, including matters under the Song-Beverly Act and related statutes
Support broader civil defense cases, including product liability, wrongful death, and premises liability
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other litigation documents
Take and defend depositions, manage discovery, and contribute to trial preparation
Collaborate with partners on case strategy, court appearances, and client communication
Take ownership of case assignments and proactively drive outcomes
Must-Haves as the Associate Attorney, Warranty Defense:
Active license to practice law in California
Minimum 3 years of civil litigation experience, particularly in defense-side work
Experience with California warranty law, including the Song-Beverly Act
Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Ability to handle multiple deadlines and case demands simultaneously
A track record of producing high-quality legal work
Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Nice-to-Haves as the Associate Attorney, Warranty Defense:
Prior experience defending consumer warranty or lemon law claims
Familiarity with high-stakes general liability litigation
