Trueline's client, a growing commercial service provider specializing in complex water and mechanical systems, is seeking a Senior Service Technician to join their team based out of Jacksonville, NC with regional travel. This role is ideal for a highly skilled field technician who can independently diagnose, repair, and optimize commercial systems while mentoring junior team members.
What You'll Do as the Senior Service Technician:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial pool and mechanical systems in the field
- Service pumps, filters, heaters, and automated chemical control systems
- Perform system startups, testing, and preventative maintenance
- Identify and resolve mechanical, plumbing, and basic electrical issues
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation
- Complete detailed service reports and communicate findings clearly to clients and internal teams
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service on job sites
Must-Haves as the Senior Service Technician:
- 5 years of experience in mechanical service, construction, or technical field work
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems, plumbing, and basic electrical components
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel regionally
Nice-to-Haves as the Senior Service Technician:
- 2 years of experience working with pool or aquatic systems
- Background in HVAC service, industrial maintenance, or mechanical piping
